About Kelly Moss Carwise Middle School Chorus and Music Theater Teacher
Kelly Moss is the Choral Director of Carwise Middle School. She leads 3 sections of chorus: Concert Choir, The Carwise Ladies, Crescendo (Beginning) Chorus. She also leads the Music Theater program at Carwise Middle School for 7th and 8th grade students. Mrs. Moss is from North Carolina, and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where she studied vocal performance with a focus in Operatic performance. Mrs. Moss is in her 14th year of teaching and has taught at both elementary and middle school levels. She was named PCMEA's District Music Teacher of the Year (Secondary Division) in 2019. Mrs. Moss' Concert Choir (mixed) and Carwise Ladies (treble choir) have each been rated as "Superior" each of the past four (4) years. In 2019, the Carwise Concert Choir were rated one of the top eight (8) choirs across the State of Florida to receive a rating of "Superior with Distinction." The Carwise Middle School Choirs have also been chosen as "Best in Festival" at the Pinellas County Music Performance Assessment events for three years in a row: 2018-2020. In addition, Mrs. Moss had the honor of serving as the Clinician for Pinellas County School's Elementary All-County Music Concert in the winter of 2019. Mrs. Moss is married and she and her husband raise their three daughters, each of whom attend Pinellas County Schools and are also active in the performing arts.
